I am looking for a true"formalin free" Keratin treatment. I realize that the results won't be completely frizz free but I am looking for an alternative since the traditional treatments cause adverse affects on me as a stylists.

THANK YOU MODERN FOR YOUR PASSION AND CONCERN FOR THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY...ALTHOUGH I`M NOT A FAN OF THE AD`S I UNDERSTAND SOMEBODY HAS TO PAY...HOPEFULLY IN THE FUTURE WE CAN ADDRESS THE ISSUES THAT FACE US AS BUISNESS OWNERS OF THE DECLINE,IN MY OPINION, THE FALL OF THE BUISNESS THAT BOOTH RENTAL,CHAIR LEASING, ETC. HAS CREATED.THE INTEGRITY THAT I TRY SO HARD TO UPHOLD AS A TEAM,IN THIS WORLD OF ME`ISM IS A TOUGH ROAD INDEED.NOT TO MENTION THE TAXES THAT ARE A BURDEN...MY HOPE IS THAT,RETAILERS STEP UP AND BECOME PICKY WHO THEY SALE TO...AGAIN I DON`T UNDER ESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR,BUT I CONTINUE TO BELIEVE THAT IF YOU DO THE RIGHT THING,THE MONIES WILL COME...I HAVE IMPLIMENTED CONTRACTS INTO MY BUISNESS,WHICH HELP SOMEWHAT,BUT AS IT SEEMS AS SOON AS YOU BUILD THIER (OUR) BUISNESS,THEY FIND A SALON,OR BOOTH THAT WILL DO ANYTHING TO FILL THE EMPTY CHAIR!...AGAIN I BELIEVE IF THE RETAILERS WOULD BE MORE SELECTIVE TO WHO THEY $ALE TO WE WOULD ALL BE REWARDED, WITH RESPECT AND INTEGRITY THAT IS ,I BELIEVE IS LACKING...IMAGINE THE GRIMACING FACES AND THOUGHTS OF MOST PARENTS WHEN THEIR SON OR DAUGHTER SAYS I GOING TO BE A HAIR STYLIST...I`M I ALONE IN THESE THOUGHTS OR MAYBE OLD SCHOOL?...THANKS AGAIN FOR WHAT IT SEEMS A BUISNESS THAT SEEMS TO WANT THE BEST FOR ALL,AND INDEED MODERN...

Welcome to Modern Salon TV, I’m Kat Penfold.
And I’m Trevor Dineen.
Twice a month, we’ll bring you Modern’s best inspiration, education and collaboration direct to your computer, phone or video screen.
Here’s what’s coming up:
Modern Editors go on the show floor at the International Salon and Spa Expo in Long Beach, California.
Award season is in full swing: We get the scoop from beauty pros on what red-carpet looks worked, and what didn’t.
And, Tabatha Coffey from Bravo’s Tabatha’s Salon Takeover gets down to business.

And now, with Modern Reports, here’s Senior Editor Alison Shipley. (Alison Shipley’s Report)

In this installment of Beauty Buzz, Modern Editor’s are at the Legends and Icons Gala, where industry icons were honored in Long Beach.
(Legends and Icons Story)

Recently, Modern was the first to break the news about color guru Beth Minardi joining Joico as its Vero K-Pak Color Spokesperson
(Interview with Beth Minardi)

And now, for a special spotlight segment, brought to you exclusively by Keratin Complex.
(Keratin Complex Spotlight)
It’s award season, which for the beauty industry equals hair season.
(Red Carpet Style Story)

Modern’s Senior Editor Alison Shipley has gone back to school, beauty school that is. Last fall, Alison enrolled in Pivot Point International. She covers beauty professionals by day, and by night, she’s becoming one.
(Beauty School Diary Story)
Modern Salon recently caught up with Tabatha Coffey, who hosts Bravo’s “Tabatha’s Salon Takeover”.
(Interview with Tabatha Coffey)

Thanks for tuning in. We’ll leave you with a note from Modern’s Editor in Chief Laurel Nelson.
And don’t forget to pre-book your next appointment with Modern Salon TV.
See you in two weeks.
